Closing the window left the previous BiFlow process running, so the finished update never became the version on screen. Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com>
Automatic install left the menu-bar process on the old version, and resizing the status item every second could freeze the app. Open the signed disk image for a drag install and leave the tunnel running. Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com>
Linux Clippy treats DiskImageOpened as dead code, and cargo deny rejects rustls-webpki, tokio, and the webpki roots still in the lockfile. Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com>

macOS updates now download and verify the signed disk image, then open it for a drag-to-Applications install. The running app and tunnel stay in their current state, including when opening the disk image fails. About explains how to quit the menu-bar process and start the new Applications copy.
The menu-bar sampler updates only changed text and avoids resizing for digit changes. Tray menus rebuild on the main thread only when phase or busy state changes. The DMG fallback retains its Applications alias and layout. Patched Rust dependencies and version 6.2.80 are included.
Validation: workspace Rust tests and Clippy with warnings denied; desktop tests with BIFLOW_DEV_PROFILE; rustfmt; cargo-deny; pnpm check and build; 42 Playwright tests including the macOS download flow and refreshed README screenshots. Native platform CI must pass on the final commit before merge.
Manual upgrade and menu-bar rendering on a physical Mac remain unverified.
